P6 Explores the World of the Vikings at North Down Museum!
P6 enjoyed an exciting and educational trip to North Down Museum as part of their Viking topic. From the moment they arrived, the pupils were immersed in Viking life, exploring real artefacts, historical displays, and interactive exhibits that brought the past to life.
The children learned about Viking clothing, weapons, homes, and travel, discovering what everyday life was like for these fascinating explorers and warriors. They asked brilliant questions, showed excellent curiosity, and impressed the museum staff with their knowledge.
One of the highlights of the day was seeing authentic Viking items up close and taking part in activities that helped pupils understand how Vikings lived, worked, and settled. The hands-on elements made the experience both fun and memorable.
The children had a fantastic day and returned to school buzzing with new facts and a deeper understanding of their topic. Well done, P6, for representing the school so brilliantly!
