We have been very busy this term learning about our new topic of electricity.
We have been finding out about how electricity is made and the advantages and disadvantage of renewable and non-renewable energy.
We looked around the school for objects that use different energy sources. We found lots of things that use battery or mains electricity as their power source.
We then tried making simple circuits using a battery, wires, a bulb and a bulb holder. We discovered lots of interesting things about a circuit. We found that if you use two batteries instead of one, the bulb will glow brighter. We also discovered if you use two bulbs with one battery that the bulbs will not glow as brightly.
We are looking forward to finding out lots more interesting things about electricity over the next few weeks.
