P1 are out of this world!

7th Jun 2020

This was the last week of our Amazing Journeys topic. To conclude it we took a short journey into Space - which would certainly be an Amazing Journey!  This was particularly exciting after we had watched the SpaceX Dragon Spaceship taking off to journey to the International Space Station last Saturday!

We read the story “Whatever Next”, where baby bear takes a trip into space in his own homemade rocket! We discussed that if we were to go into Space - how we would get there, what we would see & what we would do when we got there. We pretended we were like baby bear and were travelling to the moon in our own homemade spaceships. Some of us took a picnic with us to eat on the moon. Some made spacesuits out of kitchen utensils. Some even brought their dogs with them! It was lots of fun!

This week we also made rockets using only 2D shapes. We also learnt the different parts of a rocket.

Have a look at some of the brilliant work we produced on SeeSaw.
