Largymore Primary School Lisburn

Anti-Human Trafficking School’s Award

27th Nov 2020

Largymore Primary has been formally recognised as the first ‘Anti-Human Trafficking School’ in Northern Ireland.

Back in February, P6 (now P7) undertook the challenge to learn more about the human trafficking and the high cost of modern day slavery. Working with ‘Invisible Traffick’ the children wrote to their local MP and to major chocolate companies to express their concern that children the same age as them often don’t get the opportunity to go to school as they have to work.

P6 also held a Fairtrade Coffee & Cake Sale for Invisible Trafifick and raised over £200.

Take a look at some of the photos of what delicious treats were sold and who attended the fundraiser.
